AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. It is a safe and easy-to-use device that delivers a therapeutic electric shock to the heart as treatment for a victim in Sudden Cardiac Arrest. AEDs are mobile and often found on the walls of public venues, much like a fire extinguisher.
Being able to provide help to anyone at any time is a powerful thing. That's why, at Nightingale Empowerment Foundation, AED classes are designed to teach you how to use an automated external defibrillator on both kids and adults. This way, you can provide care - no matter where you are or who the "patient" may be.
